Turning to holistic and natural ways of healing has likely given you more relief and support than anything you’ve previously tried and now you’re excited and empowered to build on those successful experiences and learn everything you can about healing with what nature lovingly provides so that you can help your body heal itself, and help others do the same.
Herbalist Andrea Larsen will take you on a year long herbal medicine journey through the Green World as you immerse yourself in all things plant medicine.
This unique program will give you the tools and the confidence to prepare your own beautiful and powerful plant medicines at home as well as deepen your connection with the natural world so that you can turn to plants in trust and gratitude to heal all manner of ailments.
Get up close and personal with the green world so that you can gain hands on experience in identifying, foraging, growing and making foods and medicines from a wide variety of medicinal and edible plants.
In this 4 month herbal medicine course you will gain hands on experience identifying, tasting, learning about and making medicines from 20 different medicinal herbs that can be found growing wild or easily cultivated in a garden in our local area.
You will also become familiar with the language and terms of herbal medicine, with the foundational principles of TCM, Ayurveda and Western herbalism traditions and start to hone the art of herbalism as it relates to energetics and understanding plants and how they can be used as medicines in a wide variety of forms.
In class we will make teas, infusions, decoctions, syrups, oxymels, tinctures, glycerites, salves, creams and more.

Cancellation Policy:
Any registration cancellations before September, 2024 will be given a full refund minus a $50 administration fee. Refunds beyond September 2024 Will be dependent on circumstances and may be subject to a 100.00 materials fee.
Students will meet on a monthly basis here in the Cowichan Valley over a weekend as well as be given access to an online portal for extra video resources and reading materials.
