Medicine Making Workshop
September 5 is an Herbal Syrup (Elderberry!) & Infusions + Decoctions/ Water based extraction Class in which we will go over using water to extract medicinal properties from plants by way of infusions, decoction and preserving as a syrup. Each participant will get to try various teas and creations as well as take home a bottle of elderberry syrup. Organic lunch provided. This half day workshop is 4 hours including lunch break.

11:15-12:00 Making herbal infusions + decoctions
12:15-12:45: Lunch
12:45-1:30 Making Medicinal Syrups
1:30-2:30 Questions & Cauldron Decoction

August 3 & 8 are Herbal Beauty Care and Oil Extraction Classes in which we will go over making medicinally infused herbal oils and turning them into salves, balms and creams. Each participant will leave with a salve and cream each. Organic lunch provided. These half day workshops are between 4-5 hours including lunch break.

We’ll also be learning about creating fomentations, poultices, herbal face masks, & more! Come have an herbal spa day in the garden and connect upclose with over 65 medicinal plant varieties to learn more about their medicinal properties and applications.

July and October 2020 Classes are water and alcohol based extraction classes. I'll be going over how to make infusions, decoctions, syrups and tinctures. Everyone will get to sample an infusion and take home a jar of herb that is tincturing to be pressed at home after a month or two. We will discuss the appropriate uses and benefits of each of the different ways of making medicines.
No children or dogs please.
